Chattering Lory

The Chattering Lory (*Lorius garrulus *) occurs most commonly in montane forest. It is a canopy species, typically nesting in holes of very tall trees. This spectacular red parrot with forest-green wings is undergoing a rapid population decline as a result of habitat loss and trade exploitation.
