Dusky Lory

The Dusky Lory (Pseudeos fuscata) is also known as Banded Lory or White Rumped Lory. These birds roost communally in groups of up to a thousand birds. Their calls are heard as harsh and grating screeches. Endowed with a friendly and very playful personality, coupled with extravagant looks, these birds are regarded as excellent pets.

New Guinea and the offshore islands of Batanta, Salawati and Yapen
